Sources

Legal propositions on this site are sourced to primary texts: the consolidated Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on EUR-Lex, amending Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, and European Commission and AI Act Service Desk material. Sector guides cite the sector legislation they discuss. Secondary commentary is not treated as authority for a legal claim. Where a proposition depends on guidance rather than the legal text, the guide says so.

Dates

Every guide and article carries a published date and a reviewed date. Application dates are always stated with the provision they belong to, and are labelled as fixed where they appear in the legal text or as expected where they depend on a proposal or a future event. Dates are reconciled across the homepage, the timeline guide and the milestone articles so that no page lists a different schedule from the others.

Limits

Guides are general information. They do not determine whether a particular system is prohibited or high-risk, do not assess a particular product, and do not replace qualified advice. Worked examples are hypothetical and illustrative. Decision guides end by directing the reader to confirm the conclusion with a competent authority or legal adviser. No author is named on the site, and no practitioner credentials are claimed.
